Dr. Vincent C. Vaughters, President
Born in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Vaughters graduated from Jefferson Township High School, recieved a Bachelors Degree from Denison University in 1977 and a Dental Degree from Meharry Medical College in 1981. He completed a General Practice Residency and served in the U.S. Air Force before entering general practice in Decatur, Ga. in 1985.
Dr. Vaughters has been involved in organized dentistry since he was a student at Meharry. He also strives to cultivate relationships with civic, educational and community organizations. Dr. Henry T. Marable, Treasurer
Dr. Henry T. Marable is a native of Dixie, Ga. He is a proud alumnus of The Fort Valley State University where he majored in Animal Science. Dr. Marable earned his DDS from Howard University in 2007. Dr.Marable also successfully completed a one year General Practice Residency with an emphasis on HIV and oral manifestations at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL in 2008. Dr. Marable has special interests in Public Health Dentistry as evident by his practicing at Valley Healthcare Systems in Columbus, Ga and Fulton County Health Department (Ryan White Division). Dr. Marable is a proud and financial member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
Dr. Tarem Eric Hendricks, Parliamentarian
Dr. Hendricks is a 1993 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where he received his Bachelors Degree in Economics. After completing a two-year post-baccalaureate program at Fort Valley State College, he matriculated into the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2001.
Dr. Hendricks is a member of: The National Dental Association, the North Georgia Dental Society–in which he served as the 2013 President, the American Dental Association and The Hinman Dental Society. He has served as a mission-volunteer on numerous occasions with such organizations as Flying Doctors of America, and Joyce Meyer’s Hand of Hope Program; as well as here in Atlanta with the Ben Massell Dental Clinic. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and proudly serves his country as a Major in the United States Air Force Reserve, Dental Corps.
Dr. Marjorie M. Cabell, Secretary
Dr. Marjorie M. Cabell, D. M. D. is our 2017 North Georgia Dental Society Secretary and the immediate past 2016 Political Action Committee Representative.
Dr. Cabell is the private practice owner of Cabell Dental Group, LLC, Cosmetic and General Dentistry in Fayetteville, Georgia. She graduated Temple University Dental School in 1996 with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree and an American Intercontinental University graduate with a Masters of Business Administration degree- Health Care Management in 2007. She received her Bachelor of Science-Biology-Pre-Dental degree from Texas Southern University in 1991. Doctor Cabell was born, raised and graduated North High School in Evansville Indiana in 1980.
Dr. Tasha Knight, Immediate Past President
Dr. Knight is a native of Savannah, Ga. She completed her undergraduate studies at Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C., majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Following graduation she entered dental school at the Howard University School of Dentistry. After earning her DDS degree, Dr. Knight taught as a dental assistant instructor at Savannah Technique College and practiced in the Savannah and South Carolina areas before relocating to Atlanta, Ga.
Dr. Knight worked as an associate dentist in the Stone Mountain, Ga area and shortly thereafter opened her own private practice in Decatur, Ga.
Among the many great accomplishments Dr. Knight has fulfilled, she continues to confidently share her practical dental experiences and expertise to dental professionals at the highest levels of education.
